Haji Mammadov and his gang to be sentenced tomorrow

The trial was presided over by Judge Ali Seyfeliyev.
Judge Sedreddin Hajiyev announced the commentary part of murder of Azer Ismayilov, the chief Interior Ministry department fighting against illicit trafficking, the kidnapping of the officer of the prosecutorâ€™s office Murad Kazimov. The court treated the testimonies given by the defendants as self-defense. The court came to the conclusion that, Hussain Abdulvahabovâ€™s testimonies, the testimonies given by other defendants and Eldar Rehimovâ€™s testimony on assassination of â€œAzermebelâ€? Industry Company chief Nazim Pashayev and his driver contradicts Haji Mammadovâ€™s testimonies. Court considered Novruz Nuriyevâ€™s testimony to the court that he did not kill Rena Nesibova to be groundless and estimated his confessional testimony to the investigation and the testimonies of witnesses as the arguments. Court rejected Zakir Nasirovâ€™s testimony on his innocence basing on the testimonies of Haji Mammadov, Naile Guliyeva and Ferhad Mammadbeyov. Kamil Sedreddinov, Mehman Samedov and Elchin Aliyevâ€™s crimes were proved on the arguments gathered by the court. Court will pronounce sentences tomorrow.
It should be noted that, the investigation materials consist of 262 pages. The court investigation of the case was completed in six months. 45 victims and 191 witnesses gave testimonies to court. The public prosecutors asked the court to sentence 10 members of the gang to life imprisonment, 13 to 10-15 years in jail who were accused of kidnappings, assassinations, and some other grievous crimes. The public prosecutors asked the court to sentence Haji Mammadov to 293 years who is convicted on 92 Articles. /APA
