A round-table on the theme â€œNew stage in the economic development and energy reformsâ€? was held today by YAPâ€™s organization, APA reports. First Deputy Chairman, Executive Chief of YAP Ali Ahmadov said that some political forces want to make confusion in the society, taking advantage of the rise of prices for energy deliveries.
â€œThe decision of the Tariff Council is comprehended by the society. This decision serves to effective economic policy,â€? he said.
Azer Amiraslanov, Deputy Chief of Economic Policy Commission of the Parliament said that the forecasts about 50-60% inflation are based on populism. He said that carrying out price reforms in energy deliveries was important for completing the economic transition and the government is even late.
Chief the Tariff Council Elshan Asadov said minimum salary in Azerbaijan have been raised 34 times since 1997. He thinks that the rise of energy prices by three times is not a tragedy. /APA/
