125th anniversary of Ulukhanli secondary school celebrated

Today, the 125th anniversary of Ulukhanli secondary school, situated in Zengibasar district, West Azerbaijan, was held in Education Ministry, APA reports. The Minister Misir Mardanov said that a group of intelligentsia appealed him to celebrate the anniversary of the school.
â€œI delivered their request to President. The president gave instruction to mark this anniversary. Aliyev issued special decree on December 29 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Ulukhanli School. Education Ministry and the Cabinet of Ministers were assigned to implement the decree,â€? the minister said.
The minister added that, the work of the school that functioned for 107 years was stopped because of deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia in 1988.
â€œJalil Mammadguluzadeh taught in this school after graduating from Gori Seminary. Firudin bey Khocherli had closely participated in the work of the school,â€? he stated.
At the end of the ceremony the minister awarded a group of teachers. /APA/
