35 gangs committing robberies in Baku exposed within 9 months of this year

Chief of Baku Main Police Office, Major-General Rafig Abbasov made a keynote speech at the meeting, deputy chief of the police office, Major-General Elkhan Hasanov made a report.

It was noted that 7392 crimes were recorded in Baku by the Interior Ministry and Prosecutorâ€™s Office in the reporting period. 6356 of them, or 85.9% were less grave crimes, 14.1% were grave crimes.

78.9% of the total crimes were solved, up by 5.9% compared to the same period of last year. 79.2% of the grave crimes were solved, up by 7.9% compared to last year. 62.2% of all the crimes committed under uncertain conditions were solved (53.9% in 2011). 35 gangs consisting of 85 persons, who committed 51 robberies, 52 gangs consisting of 92 persons, who committed 107 thefts of personal property, were exposed.

It was noted that maintenance of public order was under serious control in the capital. Attempts to hold 14 unsanctioned protest actions were prevented, public order was completely ensured during 75 mass events held in the city, more than 66 events and ceremonies due to the arrival of high-level guests.
