Statistics of emergency situations in Azerbaijan over 9 months of this year made public

APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that 14 explosion cases occurred in the territory of the republic over 9 months of 2012. 8 died, 11 were injured as result of the explosions. This is down by 7 cases or 33% compared to the same period of 2011.

6514 calls were received over the fires occurred in the territory of republic over 9 months of current year. 44 died, 62 were injured as a result of the fires. In comparison with the relevant period of last year, the number of victims is up by 7 people or 19%, while the number of the injured people down by 31 or 33%.

Moreover, 6646 natural and man-made accidents occurred in the republic over 9 months of 2012. It is up by 882 accidents or 15% compared to the same period of 2011. 60 people died, 83 were injured, 143 rescued and 26 evacuated as a result of the natural and man-made accidents.
