A group of youth organizations attempt to hold unsanctioned protest action in Fountain Square - <font color=red>UPDATED - PHOTOSESSION</font>

APA’s correspondents report from the site that the unsanctioned protest action has been fully prevented. Activists of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Musavat Party and several youth organizations have reportedly been detained. Deputies chairman of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Gozal Bayramli, Asef Guliyev, Isa Gambar’s son Tugrut Gambar have also been reportedly detained. No official information is given about the detainees.

A group of youth organizations attempted to hold an unsanctioned protest action in the Fountain Square. Police prevented the attempt. Several persons have been detained. The detainees are being identified.

The site is under the control of the police. No protesters are seen in the Fountain Square, there are only police and journalists in the square.

At 14.35 Radio Liberty reported that a group of young activists from Musavat party attempted to march under the slogan "Resign", "Dissolve the parliament". They were reportedly detained and the protest was dispersed.

Musavat Party told APA that the police detained about 20 persons outside the office of the party. The detainees are being taken to Binagadi district police office.

Chairman of Musavat’s Assembly Arzu Samadbeyli told APA that he was detained along with 11 members of the Assembly and taken to the police office.

"There are activists of the party’s youth organization among the detainees", he said.

Deputy chairman of Baku Main Police Office Sahlab Bagirov told APA yesterday that unsanctioned protest action would be prevented. The party’s activists were yesterday warned about it at Baku Main Police Office.
