71 people arrested in protest action outside Azerbaijani Ministry of Education

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. The number of arrested people during the protest action held in Baku was made public. Narimanov District Police Department told APA that 71 protestors of the illegal action were arrested for violation the public tranquility. Those people are being kept in Narimanov District Police Department.

Baku city Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched criminal case into the fact, the investigations are underway.

Today, a group of religious men have held a protest action in front of the Ministry of Education. They protested against prohibition of hijab (turban) and chanted slogans.

Deputy Chief of the Baku Main Police Department Sahlab Baghriov was injured during the protest action organized by religious men. 3 police employees were also injured during the clashes with protestors. The Clinical Medical Centre told APA that 2 of them were send to the hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. One police is being treated at the Clinical Medical Centre.
