Azerbaijani General Prosecutor: â€œUSD 100 got from illegal organ transplantation at the ABU clinic were delivered to Elshad Abdullayevâ€

Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. â€œSerious corruption facts were revealed at the Azerbaijan International Universityâ€, General Prosecutor Zakir Garalov told journalists: â€œDuring the investigations of the criminal case launched by our Ukrainian counterparts on illegal organ transplantation in 2010, such facts were revealed at a clinic subordinated to ABU. Kidney transportation over 10 foreigners was carried out at that clinic in 2010. Ukranian doctors carried out these operations. The General Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched a criminal case on that fact.â€

Garalov said that in her testimony, head of the above-mentioned clinic Dilara Ismayilova said that she carried out illegal actions under Elsad Abdullayevâ€™s instruction: â€œIsmayilova also said that she delivered USD 100 got from illegal organ transplantation.â€ I should say again that if Elshad Abdullayev combats against corruption, he must respond these questions.â€

The General Prosecutor said that the Education Ministry abolished the ABU license in 2010: â€œUnfortunately, our thousands of students, studying there, couldnâ€™t get a diploma because of that transferring. Some of ABU officials were brought to responsibility on the basis of complaints. At present the investigation is underway.â€

Garalov noted that the presumption of innocence of neither Elshad Abdullayev nor Gular Ahmadova could be violated due to this video: â€œIn this connection, detailed and objective investigation will be carried out.â€
