Criminal case launched on Elshad Abdullayev and Gular Ahmadovaâ€™s video issue

The Press Service of the General Prosecutorâ€™s Office told APA that the video materials spread in Mass media by the former rector of the International University of Azerbaijan Elshad Abdullayev concerning the member of Azerbaijani Parliament Gular Ahmadova.

Criminal case has been launched on the issue according to the Criminal Codeâ€™s article # 178.3.2 (misappropriation of othersâ€™ property by misusing trust). Extraordinary investigation has been started in order to study the above mentioned video and audio materials thoroughly and objectively as there was signs of swindling, misappropriation of property by misusing trust by.

Court portrait on the case, criminality forensic-enquiry of video and audio materials have been defined and have been sent to relevant bodies. Necessary interrogations and operations will be carried out by those bodies.

Hearing process and other necessary investigations are underway.
