Quake hits Iranian East Azerbaijan province again

Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. A quake has again occurred in the East Azerbaijan province of Iran today. APA reports quoting Mehr news agency that the quake was recorded at 04.25 by local time.

The hypocenter of 4, 5-magnitude quake was in Varzigan city. The quake occurred on 13 km from the city in depths of 19 km. No casualties are reported.

6,2-magnitude quake was observed in Ahar, Heris and Vargizan cities, including the East Azerbaijan province of Iran on August 11. As a result, 306 people died and 3037 were injured.
