Ammunition trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijani frontiers has prevented ammunition trafficking from Iran to Azerbaijan, the State Customs Committee told APA. During the inspection of the luggage of an Iranian citizen Kazemi Mikael Esrafil through “Heiman X-Ray” cargo screening device in Goshatapa customs post of Bilasuvar Customs Office, a subject like gun charges consisting of 6 bullets appeared in the monitor.

He was asked if he had any subject in his luggage hidden from customs control or a subject, which he had to show customs control, including ammunition. In his turn, he answered that there were only his clothes in the luggage and that no he hid nothing from customs control or he had no subject to show. During the inspection a charger with 9 mm caliber with a capacity of 8 cartridges and 6 cartridges with 9 mm caliber were found and seized from him.
