4 detainees of protest action outside French Embassy in Azerbaijan fined

Baku. Ramil Mammadly-APA. 4 people who were detained during the protest action of a group of Muslims in front of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan were imposed a fine by the court. According to the information of APA the Sabail Region Court imposed them a fine of 20 AZN and unprisoned. They were warned on not to participate in such protestaction.

A group of Muslims staged a protest action in front of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan. The demonstrators protested against insulting Islam in France, discrimination policy against Muslims, as well as the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in French satirical magazine â€œCharlie Hebdoâ€. The Riot police detained 13, for the violation of the public rules. A protocol was drawn up on 4 people according to Administrative Error Code (paragraph #310) for not obeying police and sent to the Regional Court. The 9 out of 13 detainees were unprisoned after being warned.
