Journalist is suspected in criminal incident in International Festival in Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. One of the suspicious detained on the criminal incident committed in Azerbaijanâ€™s Masalli region is a journalist. Masalli Region Police Office told APA that the journalist, who was detained by the police, is an executive director and founder of â€œXeber44.comâ€ (News44.com) website. He is said to be busy with religious provocations. Arms-ammunition were seized form his house.

According to the statement released by the Internal Ministry, Araz Guliyev, Khalid Kazymov and Rza Aghali were detained due to violation and injuring the police executives during â€œMasalli Folklor-2012â€ international festival held in Youth Centre in Azerbaijanâ€™s Masalli region on 8 September. 2 grenades, 1,975 kg of opium and prohibited religious books and booklets were revealed and seized during the search carried out in their houses. They made efforts to disturb the event demonstrating their protest against the festival.
