Ministry of Emergency Situations: “According to the preliminary information, 3 people died in the explosion in Sumgayitâ€

APA reports quoting the official website of the Ministry that fuel and raw materials tanks of Consumer Good Company locating in the basin park territory with the total area of 2400 sq m, situated in Oil Workers settlement of Sumgayit have burnt. The fire degree reached the 3rd level. State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent more than 150 firefighters and about 45 fire vehicles and 2 helicopters to the area. According to preliminary information, 3 people died as a result of the fire. It’s supposed that the fire blazed up due to violation of security rules during the welding works. The fire was extinguished by firefighters at 03:43 by local time. Currently, the joint research is being carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and General Prosecutor’s Office. The results of the investigations will be announced soon.
