State Fire Protection Service of Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA, currently the site is under investigation. Officials of the prosecutory office have also been involved in the process.
Deputy chief doctor Sumgayit ambulance station Zahida Mammadova told APA that two bodies were taken off from the scene. Another 10 injured were hospitalized. At present time, the team of doctors are on duty.
Remind that, yesterday a fire occurred in Sumgayit ‘House things’ LLC. In the ensuing explosion, the fire began to spread.
Sumgayit city prosecutor’s office has launched a cirminal case on the fact under Article 162.2 of the Criminal Code (violation of safety rules) and 225.2. (Violation of fire safety).
The initial investigations revealed that fire safety rules and safety were violated during the welding work in the fuel tanks. The accident killed two people, one person was missing, and two received injuries of varying severity.
