Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office issues statement on mass poisoning in Bina Trade Center

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office issued a statement on mass poisoning in Bina Trade Center. The press service of the prosecutorâ€™s office told APA that mass poisoning from carbon monoxide occurred in â€œAraz Aviaâ€ (Bina) trade center situated in Lokbatan settlement of Garadagh district on September 16 at 15.00.

Executives of the Prosecutorâ€™s office, Internal Ministry and Education Ministry have immediately arrived in the site, urgent and necessary measures have been taken.

The preliminary investigation revealed that some shop owners installed the generators as the electric power cut off. The health of 146 sellers and buyers felt worse due to carbon monoxide and they were placed to the Toxicology department of the Clinic Medical Center. They were allowed to leave the hospital after the first aid. No one died as a result of the incident.

Garadakh District Prosecutorâ€™s Office has launched criminal case with Criminal Code Article #N 314.2 (Carelessness), forensic medical and forensic security examinations were appointed for determining reasons of the incident.

The investigation is underway.
