Israeli media: Israeli special service bodies warn Azerbaijan about terrorist threat against national football team

APA reports quoting â€œnewsru.co.ilâ€ website that the security measures were strengthened according to this information. The members of football teams were prohibited to leave the hotel, itâ€™s permitted to deliver the football team to the stadium for training by bus only under the special security control.

Israeli media says that Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies carry out the special security measures in order to protect the Israeli football team that arrived in Baku to play in qualifying round of 2014 world football championship.

A part of Heydar Aliyev International Airport was closed due to welcoming ceremony of Israeli football team and it was encircled by employees of the airport security.

According to the information released by Israeli media, the bus that delivered the football team from airport to the hotel was accompanied by post-patrol car and police helicopter all the time.

The meeting between Azerbaijan and Israel football teams within qualifying round of 2014 world football championship will be held in Baku on September 7.

Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan spread the information on prevention of attempts of terrorist attacks against Israeli diplomats and Jewish objects at the beginning of the year.

Israeli special service bodies addressed Cyprus, Greece and Thailand governments and asked them to strengthen the security measures of Israeli objects due to terrorist attack yesterday.
