Judicial trial of 9 persons charged with Guba incidents starts
Garibov Taptig Taji, Fayizi Sakhavat Agahuseyn, Yunusov Khayyam Sahib, Alasgarov Niyamaddin Nuraddin, Ilyasov Rashad Tahir, Maharramov Elgun Nadir, Garibov Bahruz Garibbaba, Najafi Alakbar Zulfugar and Murshudov Rafig Vahid, who were detained concerning the incidents in Guba region on March 1, are charged with damaging property, causing large damages to the aggrieved person, causing damages on property by destroying, burning and exploding, bringing serious results, organizing and participating in actions violating the public order, resisting and using force against the government official, articles 186.2.1 (Deliberate destruction or damage of property), 186.2.2 (deliberate destruction or damage of property by an arson, explosion or other publicly dangers way or entailed heavy consequences) , 233 (Organization of actions promoting infringement of a social order or active participation in such actions), 315.2 (crimes against management) of the Criminal Code.
About 1000 Guba residents, who considered the words of the chief of Guba regional executive power Rauf Habibov at the meeting dedicated to the discussion of social problems, which was held on November 22, 2011 as disrespect to the Guba residents, held a protest action outside the administrative building of the executive power on March 1, 2012. The windows of the first and second floors of the Executive Power’s building and the equipments there were broken, several constructions, including Habibov’s private house were burnt and 24 police officers were injured.
25 persons, who actively participated in the violation of public order and destruction of property belonging to legal and physical bodies, were charged of the above-mentioned articles of Criminal Code and arrested.
