According to APA, 30-40 drivers protesting against the prohibition of use of some cars as taxi attempted to gather outside the Ministry of Transport, but police prevented their action. Several people were detained and released after giving explanation to police.
On January 13, the Ministries of Transport and Internal Affairs have started raids against the illegal taxi. The use of unlicensed old Soviet-time cars as taxi was prohibited. The year of release of the taxi cars should be after 2007.
