Karimov’s lawyer Ramiz Mammadov told APA that the defendant didn’t agree with the declared accusation and filed a petition on prolongation of investigation period. But the investigative authority didn’t sustain the petition and the investigation was finished. Mammadov said that the defense side was familiarizing with the materials of investigation.
Karimov was arrested on June 6, 2011. He who was accused of abusing official powers and reception of a bribe.
