Interior Ministry: 2636 criminal facts on narcotics discovered last year as a result of operational search actions

Press service of the Ministry told APA that Interior Minister, Colonel-General Ramil Usubov also participated in the meeting. Interior Ministry’s Department to Combat Drugs, Major-General Hazi Aslanov made a report on works carried out in the spheres of combating the drug and psychoactive drug trafficking. It was noted that 2636 criminal facts narcotics were discovered during the reporting periods, 817 of them were related to illegal drug sale, 1694 â€“ illegal storage of drugs and etc. 298.8kg hashes, 164.8 kg hashish,52.3 kg heroines, 14.1kg opium, 1.5 kg psychoactive drugs, 106.7kg methadone, 27.1 kg other narcotics were seized on arrestees.

136kg various narcotics were seized, 366.7 narcotic plants were annihilated on 106 criminal facts.

At the end of the meeting Usubov noted that the specialized operational measures on finding the persons using the country for transit of drugs and being members of intergovernmental drug business.
