First Deputy of Azerbaijanâ€™s General Prosecutor Rustam Usubov meets with Rafig Tagiâ€™s brother

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh â€“ APA. First Deputy of Azerbaijanâ€™s General Prosecutor Rustam Usubov received brother of killed writer and publicist Rafig Tagi Ilgar Tagi, Tagiyev told APA. According to him, Usubov informed him on investigation process: â€œRustam Usubov said me that nobody has been brought to responsibility yet. But several versions are investigated. The versions on ayatollahâ€™s fatwas, whether Rafig had conflicts in the workplace are investigated. There is no concrete result in the investigation. But I hope that these works will have any resultâ€.

Tagiyev also clarified the news on lawsuit filed by his brotherâ€™s family against the Grave Crimes Investigation Department at the Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office of Azerbaijan: â€œLawyer Elchin Sadigov filed a petition to Nasimi District Court on behalf of Tagiâ€™s family. But Rustam Usubov said me that they are investigating the issue. He promised that the issues shown by us in the petition will be settled. I believe in it too. Our petition is in court. May be we will withdraw itâ€.

Doctor of the First Medical Aid Station No 8, writer and publicist Tagiyev Rafig Nazir (Rafig Tagi) was stabbed while returning from the office at about 22.00on November 19, 2011 near the building he lived. He was undergoing treatment in the Clinical Medical Center and died on November 23. Earlier the criminal investigation was launched into the fact in accordance with the article 126.1 (deliberate harming the health), but after his death the investigation is being conducted in accordance with the article 120.1 (deliberate murder).
