Baku-APA. The statue of prominent Azerbaijani poet Mahammadhuseyn Shahriyar was stolen in the capital of Eastern Azerbaijan Province of Iran.
The statue of the popular Azerbaijani poet was in the Park of “Ustad Shahriyar†in Tabriz, APA reports quoting Nasrnews.
The incident happened in the midnight. Tabriz officials made no comment on the fact.
In 2010, similar incidents happened in Tehran several time consecutevily. Then, the statues of Sattarkhan, Baghirkhan, Ustad Moin, Shahriyar, Sani Hatem were stolen. The crimes still remains unopened.
