A group of European parliamentarians visit frontline region of Azerbaijan

Aghdam. Teymur Zahidoglu â€“ APA. Members of Belgium-Azerbaijan interparliamentary relations group visited Aghdam region. The guests met with the officials of Aghdam region executive power and visited the IDP camp in Guzanli settlement.

APAâ€™s Karabakh bureau reports that members of Belgian parliament Philippe Blanchard, David Geerts, Stef Goris, Laurent Blanchard, Denis Ducarme, Willem-Frederik Schiltz, Inge Vervotte visited the occupied territories of Aghdam region. They were accompanied by the member of Azerbaijani parliament Ganira Pashayeva. The guests also met with the local residents.
â€œIndeed, it is very hard that the lands several hundreds meters far from here have been occupied. These people lived there with their families, were engaged in agriculture. Now, these territories are under the occupation of armed forces. You have got little information, when you are away from a country. But when you visit that place, see everything with your own eyes, you have got detailed information. Therefore, we needed to come here,â€ member of the Belgian parliament Philippe Blanchard said.

Blanchard said Belgium always supports the positions of the international organizations on Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
â€œI would like all European parliamentarians to come to Azerbaijan and see everything with their own eyes,â€ he said.
The parliamentarian underlined that he will do his best so that his other colleagues visit Azerbaijan.
