Astara regionâ€™s military commissar dismissed for case of draftee with hearing disorder

Baku â€“ APA. The Ministry of Defense took serious measures on the fact of call up of a young man with hearing disorder by Astara Region Military Commissariat. Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry, Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu told APA that by the Defense Ministerâ€™s decsion, Lieutenant-Colonel Rafael Vahidov was removed from the post of military commissariat. Several responsible employees were also punished, 4 of them were severely reprimanded, 2 warned, 1 was reduced to a lower rank. Soldier Ikhtiyar Nadirov was demobilized because of hearing disorder.

Defense Minister Abiyev established a commission for conducting investigation on the fact of call-up of Ikhtiyar Nadirov who had hearing disorder. These steps were taken in accordance with the commissionâ€™s conclusion.

Recently the local newspapers reported that resident of Astaraâ€™s Pensar village, Ikhtiyar Nadirov, who has hearing difficulties, is serving in the military base located in the frontline Terter region.
