Group accused of stealing raw gold from gold-copper plant detained in Azerbaijan

The MNS Public Relations Center told APA that Azerbaijani citizen Samadov Natig Nariman, Heydarov Valeh Shahmar, Hagverdiyaev Vugar Abbasali, Musayev Zaman Hasan and Sadigov Igbal Ibrahim stole 920 g raw material from Azerbaijan International Mining Companyâ€™s Gedebey gold-copper production plant.

It was revealed that Vugar Hagverdiyev, Natig Samadov and Valeh Heydarov consented on stealing raw gold from Azerbaijan International Mining Companyâ€™s Gedebey gold-copper production plant, then to sell after its treatment, and distribute the profit.

Musayev and Sadigov stole about 1kg raw gold from the plant and delivered it Heydarov via Hagverdiyev and Samadov. Heydarov was detained while carrying the gold to Baku, 920 g raw gold was found in his bag during the searching of his things. The microchips considered for gold acquisition, acid solution, welding torch considered for gold raw treatment were seized during the search of Heydarovâ€™s house.

The Criminal Case has been launched into the fact by the MNS Investigation main Office on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article 177.3.2, the above-mentioned persons were brought to criminal responsibility and sentenced to pretrial detention.
The operational and investigational measures are continued.
