Chief Prosecutorâ€™s Office releases statement on murder in Siyazan region

Press service of the Chief Prosecutorâ€™s Office told APA that on December 3, 2011, at about 09.00, body of unknown man was found in Gyrchal village of Siyazan. He died as a result of multiple stab wounds.
The prosecutorâ€™s office of Siyazan region launched criminal investigation on charge with deliberate murder and established special investigative group.
The investigators identified that the killed man was the resident of Azerbaijanâ€™s Sumgayit city Veliyev Elvin Veli, born in 1991. He was killed by the resident of Siyazan twon, Jamalov Natig Javanshir, born in 1983, and his townsman Bekirov Vugar Lazim, born 1983 over the disputes between them. Elvin Veliyev was a taxi driver and Jamalov and Bekirov took his taxi and asked to drive to Siyazan. Stopping short of the village, they asked him to stop the car, stabbed him to death and left on roadside. They stole his taxi and escaped.

As a result of investigative operational searches, Jamalov and Bekirov were detained on December 21 as suspects.

The investigation is underway.
