The Azerbaijani Diaspora members in US receive a number of supportive letters from the US Senators

Washngton. Isabel Levine-APA. The Azerbaijani Diaspora members in US have received a number of supportive letters from the Senators regarding their recent campaign about Ambassador Matthew Bryzaâ€™s appointment, APAâ€™s correspondent was told by the Diaspora.
Just yesterday, Texas Senator John Cornyn sent a letter to the Diaspora members; assuring them that he will keep US Azerbaijaniâ€™s views in mind should Ambassador Bryzaâ€™s nomination be considered by the full Senate during the 112th Congress.
â€œAs you may know, following Azerbaijanâ€™s consent to Matthew Bryzaâ€™s appointment, the Obama Administration officially announced his nomination to serve as ambassador. Though Ambassador Bryzaâ€™s nomination was received in the Senate on May 26, 2010, he was not confirmed by the Senate during the 111th Congress. As a result, President Obama bypassed the Senate confirmation process and announced Ambassador Bryzaâ€™s recess appointment on December 29, 2010. This recess appointment expires in December 2011 and as such, President Obama has again submitted Ambassador Bryzaâ€™s nomination to the Senateâ€, reminds the Senator.
â€œThough I am not a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, which has primary jurisdiction of this matter, you may be certain that I will keep your views in mind should Ambassador Bryzaâ€™s nomination be considered by the full Senate during the 112th Congressâ€, he added.
