Persons attempting to take large amount of money from people under pretext of fixing up them for a job in National Security Ministry detained in Azerbaijan

According to information, Azerbaijani citizen, Baku city resident Aghajanov Elchin Tapdig, born in 1981, abused confidence of Azerbaijani citizen (name and surname of the person is not announced at his own request) for the purpose of misappropriating large amount of money and made a false promise to him that he would fix up him for a job in MNS. Aghajanov was detained in one of the restaurants of Bayil settlement of Baku while attempting to take AZN 50 000 from him. The criminal case has been launched into the fact by Department to Combat Corruption under the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–29, 178.3.2. Aghajanov was brought to the criminal responsibility and was sentenced to pretrial detention.

Resident of Mashtaga settlement of Bakuâ€™s Sabunchu district Javadov Ilgar Majnun, born in 1963, was found out as a result of one more operational search action conducted by MNS and General Prosecutorâ€™s Office.

Thus, Azerbaijani citizen (name and surname of the person is not announced at his own request) filed to MNS and showed that Ilgar Javadov made a false promise to fix up him for a job in MNS, demanded AZN 80 000 from him and they consented to initial payment in the amount of AZN 5 000.
Javadov was detained during taking the initial payment in the amount of AZN 5 000 from the applicant in one of the cafes in Sabunchu district of Baku.
The criminal case has been launched into the fact by Department to Combat Corruption under the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–178.2.4. Javadov was brought to the criminal responsibility and was sentenced to pretrial detention. The necessary operational and investigational measures are being continued for investigating all cases.
