People disappeared recently on Caspian Sea accused of committing various crimes

Thus, specifying the reports about the loss of two Azerbaijani citizens on the Caspian Sea, SBS determined that these persons haven’t put to the Caspian Sea from the country’s territory, it was known that they legally crossed the state border from Samur checkpoint towards the Russian Federation.

Taking into account that these persons weren’t found as a result of search on the sea, SBS communicated with the Russian Federation’s Border Service, the people drowning on the Caspian Sea were rescued on December 11 and handed over as a result of joint measures. As one of them had serious health problems and was hospitalized.

The investigation revealed that on December 3, a group of Azerbaijani citizens – Huseynov Maharram Balaja, Ahmadov Elman Majidovich, Hasanov Ramil Valiyevich and Alkhasov Dilaver Ijrasovich left for Russia’s Dagestan Republic where they bought two boats there and wanted to bring them illegally to Azerbaijan through Caspian Sea. For this purpose these persons took the open sea on December 5 and left for Azerbaijan. Alkhasov legally returned to Azerbaijan. But they went missing while losing their route as a result of bad weather.

At the same time, it was determined that previously the above-mentioned persons were brought to the criminal responsibility. Thus, Huseynov and Ahmadov were brought to the administrative responsibility for the violation of sea border regime, the organizer of the criminal act Alkhasov was imprisoned in 2007 because of illegal acts on the Caspian Sea.

The criminal case has been launched into the fact, the operational and investigation measures are being continued.
