Medical experts conclude that former chief of Azerbaijani Interior Ministry’s Policlinic No 2 died of bullet wound in head

Director General of the Health Ministry’s Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Association Shakir Musayev told APA that the deceased was killed as a result of bullet wound in head. He also noted that at present they are examining the gun of crime and conditions of the shooting and the results of examination will be made public soon”.

Body of unknown man was found dead in front of building No 83, Ahmad Jamil Street at night from December 13 to 14. The body was identified. Namig Fikrat Alakbarov, 50, had been shot in the head. A “Makarov” pistol was found near the body.

Criminal case had been launched on articles 125 (inciting to suicide) and 228 (keeping illegal arms) of the Criminal Code.
Prosecutor of Yasamal district Hasrat Pirmammadov told APA that he conditions of the incident are not known. If it is confirmed that Namig Alakbarov was killed, the article of the criminal case will be replaced by the charge of deliberated murder.

Alakbarov had been chief of Interior Ministry’s polyclinic No 2 and retired on a pension several years ago.
