Experts release final examination opinion on death of well-known publicist-writer Rafig Tagi

Director of the Health Ministryâ€™s Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Department Shakir Musayev told APA that the writer died as a result of multiple stabbed and knifed wounds in chest and other innards, post-surgery apathetic cirrhosis, small intestine inertia, coronary disease on the back of pleural membrane adhesion, large cardio-sclerosis after the heat attack, incrassation of cardiac muscle and cardiopulmonary decompensation.

Musayev said Tagiâ€™s relatives were invited to the Pathological Anatomy Department and informed in details about the examination opinion.

Doctor of the First Medical Aid Station No 8, writer and publicist Tagiyev Rafig Nazir was stabbed while returning from the office at about 22.00on November 19, 2011 near the building he lived. He was undergoing treatment in the Clinical Medical Center and died on November 23. Earlier the criminal investigation was launched into the fact in accordance with the article 126.1 (deliberate harming the health), but after his death the investigation is being conducted in accordance with the article 120.1 (deliberate murder). On November 26, the operational group submitted their report to the prosecutor general and interior minister. Investigative actions and operational searches were determined and concrete recommendations and instructions were given. This incident caused public resonance. The investigation is under the Presidentâ€™s control.
