National Security Ministry discloses group of drug smugglers

They smuggled large party of heroin from Iran to Azerbaijan, the ministry’s public relations department told APA.
Ramiz Bagirov ordered large party of heroin to the Iranian citizen, whose personality is being identified now and urged other member of the group Imran Guliyev to bring the drug to Azerbaijan and they agreed to forward the drug via bus driven by the Iranian citizen Noshahr Nasirzadeh, who brought four laminated plastics hiding 500 g of heroin there. He gave drugs to Imran Guliyev near Lankaran city, but saved 27.7 g of heroin under his belt. The security forces found 500 g heroin during the examination of laminated plastics. Noshahr Nasirzadeh was also detained and 27.7 g of heroin was found near him.

The National Security Ministry carried out one more operation and detained citizens of Georgia – Samadzadeh Anvar Ramiz, Ilyazov Seymur Bariz, Kalayev Ramin Ibrahim, Sharifov Mikayil Hidayat, Karimov Sair Rafael, citizen of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mostafaei Mohammad Tagi Hossein, citizens of Azerbaijan – Abbasov Arif Salman and Abbasov Mammad Salman. It was found out that the abovementioned persons had smuggled a great deal of heroin from Iran to Azerbaijan. Mohammad Mostafaei was given $2800 out of $4000 envisaged for 500 g heroin, and smuggled it from Iran to Azerbaijan in his Peugeot.

The National Security Ministry has launched criminal case on both facts on articles 206.3.2 (smuggling by a group of persons), 234.4.1 and 234.4.3 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances) of the Criminal Code. The abovementioned persons have been put under restraint.
