Penitentiary Service comments on incident in correctional facility

Chief of public affairs relations Mehman Sadigov told APA that the incident happened in the correctional facility in Garadagh district of Baku at 20.00 yesterday.

Prisoners Dadashov Farid Javid, born in 1988, and Farajov Faig Fuad, born in 1983, who were detained in the penalty ward, gave false information on defect of the effluent disposal line.

The prisoners, who asked the duty for help, intended to break out of prison. Thus, they disassemble the bedstead and armed with the iron instrument. As soon as the employees of the facility entered the ward, the prisoners attacked and injured them. The facilityâ€™s employees â€“ Seymur Maharramov and Ramiz Aliyev were injured. Farajov could break out of prison. Another prisoner Dadashov was put in ward. Dadashov hanged himself in the penalty ward.

Sadigov said the operational search actions were continued for Farajovâ€™s detention. He also said that Dadashov was accused on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„– 180 (robbery), and sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. Farajov was accused on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article â„–234.1 (drug trafficking) and sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.

The criminal case has been launched into the fact by Baku City Prosecutorâ€™s Office on the Criminal Codeâ€™s articles â„–125 (bringing to suicide), â„–315.2 (resistance or application of violence concerning the representative of authority) and â„–304.2 (Runaway from a place of imprisonment).
