The symposium was organized by the Abu Dhabi police and Los Angeles County Sheriffâ€™s Department, APA reports referring to the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan. The conference addresses the need for international police cooperation and sharing information between agencies. The symposium discusses the challenges facing the security strategies and the impact of media, cybercrime, human trafficking and money laundering. The symposium is an opportunity to exchange knowledge and expertise, as well as putting forward ideas and means of enhancing cooperation to achieve the goals of applying the law and facing crime. The issues of local and international preventive measures against the large-scale emergency situations are also on agenda of the event.
In his speech, Minister of Emergency Situations Kemaleddin Heydarov informed the participants about the measures carried out by Azerbaijan for the prevention of emergency situations of natural and technogenic character and elimination of their results and spoke about the role of international cooperation to struggle disasters.
