Prosecutor General and Interior Minister listen report of operational group on death of Rafig Tagi

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Azerbaijani General Prosecutorâ€™s Office and Interior Ministry issued statement on death of Rafig Tagi. Press service of the Interior Ministry told APA that physician of Urgent Medical Aid Station #8, writer Rafig Tagi was knifed by unknown person near his house on November 19 at 22.00. The criminal case as launched the fact by Khatai District Police Officeâ€™s Investigation Department on the Criminal Codeâ€™s article #126.1 (Deliberate causing of serious harm to health) and the operational group was formed by the professional employees of police and prosecutorâ€™s office.

As Rafig Tagi died at the hospital on November 23, the investigation is being continued according to the Criminal Codeâ€™s article #120.1 (deliberate murder). On November 26, the Prosecutor General and Interior Minister listened the report of the operational group, gave concrete tasks and recommendations for detention of all criminal participants. The works carried out on the crime is under the special control of president of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The additional information will be given on the results of the investigation.
