Measures taken to eliminate consequences of natural disaster in Azerbaijan’s south region, 50 villages of Lerik, 40 villages of Yardimli still without power

APA’s south bureau reports that the thickness of snow cover in Lerik was 1.2 m, 1 m in the center of the region.

It caused serious damage to the power supply of the region. More than 450 electric posts fell, 16km cable went out of order. 50 settlements of the region were left without power. Deputy head of Lerik region executive power, chairman of the region’s emergency situations commission Habil Malikov said it is sunny in the region, it helps accelerate the work of the repair team. Malikov said the power supply will be restored in all villages by the end of the day.

Heavy snow also paralyzed the power supply of Yardimli region. About 100 electric posts fell, 3km cable went out of order. Interruptions were recorded in the power supply of 40 settlements. The region’s emergency situations commission told APA’s local bureau that measures are being taken to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster, the problems will be solved by the end of the day.

200 electric posts fell, 5km cable, 2 transformers went out of order as a result of heavy snow in Lankaran. The damage was eliminated due to the efforts of the emergency teams of Lankaran Power Network yesterday. Power supply has been restored in 99 percent of the region’s territory.

Several houses were flooded, as the Garazenjir river in Sabirabad village of Jalilabad region overflowed on the night of November 7-8. The danger is past due to the efforts of the relevant bodies.

It is sunny in the region now.
