Arif Hajili sentenced to 2 years 6 months imprisonment

APA reports that Majidli had the last word. Majidli said that he was innocent, didnâ€™t agree with the charge and wanted discharrgde from the court.

Then the court went to the advisement. The judgment was announced after the advisement. According to the verdict, Arif Hajili was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment, Mahamamd Majidli to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment, Tural Abbasli to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment. Fuad Gahramanli was sentenced to 1 year administrative punishment.

The opposition supporters sang Azerbaijanis State Anthem, chanted slogans after the verdict.

On April 2, the Public Chamber attempted to hold rally in Bakuâ€™s centre. The criminal case has been launched concerning the incidents took place that day on the article 233 (organization of actions promoting infringement of a social order or active participation in such actions) and article 315 (resistance or application of violence concerning the representative of authority). Sabail District Court sentenced Hajili to two-month pretrial detention.
