Azerbaijani parliament holds first meeting of 2011 autumn session

Speaker Ogtay Asadov said the parliament held 14 meetings during the spring and extraordinary sessions and members of the parliament took active part in the socio-political life of the country.

Asadov noted that the parliament will host CIS Parliamentary Assemblyâ€™s legal committee and central elections commissions in coming days and first large joint conference of several parliamentary assemblies on October 11.
TurkPA commissionâ€™s meeting will be held on November 2, PACE committee meeting in December.

Today the parliamentâ€™s agenda includes 27 issues, including 14 intergovernmental agreements with Ukraine, Romania, Belarus, Spain, Greece, UAE, Serbia and Slovenia.

Amendments and annexes to the Criminal Code, Administrative Inadvertence Code, Civil Code, laws on the Constitutional Court, public register of immobile property, protection of the rights of consumers, state duty, rehabilitation and social protection of disabled people, social insurance, employment, as well as renaming of Cinli Boluslu village of Goranboy region into Boluslu village.
