Participant of “Khalg ulduzu†music contest Sefa Mammadov is accused of stealing AZN 60 000 and $20 000 from the house of the resident of Garachukhur settlement Ilkin Yusifov in July, 2011. Sefa Mammadov was detained on September 27. On September 28, Sefa Mammadov was taken to Surakhany district prosecutor’s office for pre-trial restrictions. But Sefa Mammadov was bailed.
Investigation of the criminal case launched on Sefa Mammadov is being continued.
Mammadov spent $52 000 of the stolen money on Range Rover. The car is being kept at Surakhany district police office.
After having been bailed Sefa Mammadov told journalists that he had not been detained, the reports were false.
