Baku hosts 18th international seminar entitled “Court of Administrative Justice: experience and problemsâ€
APA reports that the seminar is organized by Azerbaijan’s Judicial Legal Council, Lawyers Confederation, International Union of Lawyers, Association of Judges and Prosecutors of the German Federal Supreme Court, with the support of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and American Bar Association’s office in Baku.
Addressing the seminar Chief of Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Legal Policy and State Building and Azerbaijan Lawyers Confederation, Ali Huseynov said the aim of the event is to share national and international experience in the sphere of administrative courts, discuss urgent problems of the jurisdiction.
Chairman of the International Union of Lawyers Andrey Trebkov, member of the Judicial Legal Council, department chief of Azerbaijani Justice Ministry Azer Jafarov, vice-president of German Federal Supreme Court and German ambassador to Azerbaijan Herbert Kvelle spoke about the importance of the event.
The event continued with reports.
80 lawyers, including foreign and local judges are attending the meeting. The international seminar will end on September 28.
