Photographer knifed by Eurovision singer gives testimony to police

He confirmed the reports that he was injured by Javadzadeh. â€œElvin Huseynov told investigators that he beat Samir Javadzadeh and then Samir injured him with a knife. We will launch criminal investigation after receiving the results of medical examination. If examination results show that Elvin Huseynov was injured seriously, Samir Javadzadeh will be arrestedâ€, investigator Aziz Azimov told APA.

Yesterday Elvin Huseynov told APA that Samir Javadzadeh is not guilty and he injured himself because of carelessness. He also called the press reports about the Samir Javadzadehâ€™s testimony admitting guilt as misunderstanding. Huseynov said he was feeling well.

Samir Javadzadeh also made contradictious statements. According to the police investigators, he admitted guilt saying that he injured Elvin because he was very noisy at night. But in his interview with the journalists, Samir denied his relation to the incident.

Samir Javadzadeh represented Azerbaijan at the Eurovision 2008 Song Contest.
