The Bar punishes three lawyers

APA reports that according to the decision of the Presidium, Khalid Bagirovâ€™s advocacy has been terminated for a year. According to the decision, Khalid Bagirov publicized the advocacy secrets. Khalid Bagirov was the lawyer of human rights defender Vidadi Isgandarov and Elvin Asgarov, who died in Nizami district police office.

The complaints against lawyers Aslan Ismayilov and Elchin Namazov were also considered at the Discipline Commission of the Bar. The Discipline Commission considered that Aslan Ismayilov violated the ethics of advocacy, Elchin Namazov violated the law, the complaints were sent to the Presidium.

Aslan Ismayilov told journalists that a man came to his office, signed a contract and said his house had been seized.
â€œI investigated the case and understood that the man wanted to swindle. Therefore, I sent him away. Now they say I violated the ethics. All this is deliberate,â€ he said.

Elchin Namazov is the lawyer of Rufat Hajibeyli, who was detained during the protest action of the Public Chamber on April 2. Judge appealed to the Bar to punish him.

Chairman of the Bar Azer Tagiyev told journalists that Khalid Bagirov can appeal to court.
â€œThe Presidium passed the decision. If someone is disappointed, he can appeal to court,â€ he said.
