Association of Azerbaijan General Courtâ€™s Judges holds meeting

Delivering speech at the meeting Chief of Yasamal District Court Aladdin Jafarov gave detailed information about activity of the organization within a year.

Attention was paid to establishment of new regional grave crimes and economic-administrative courts, increase of numbers of judges, improvement of working conditions, construction of new court buildings.

Jafarov said that in comparison with the recent years, number of association members joining general court judges in Azerbaijan had increased and tolled to 340: â€œThis year 235 judges were sent to foreign countries for practical courses. Recently, increase of public prosecutors allows considering of criminal cases in time. Some citizens in Azerbaijan do not address appropriate instance courts. And it causes a lot of problemsâ€.

Supreme Court judge, deputy chairman of public union Tapdig Mahmoudov, Supreme Court judge Vafeddin Ibayev, judge of Ganja City Kapaz Regional Court Ikram Shirinov spoke about implementation of judicial-legal reforms and problems in judicial control.
