Azerbaijani scientist Rashid Aliyev addresses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning the Iranian ambassadorâ€™s accusations

Rashid Aliyev told APA that in his interview with the local media Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Baghir Bahrami threatened him with arrest. The scientist expressed serious concern over the ambassadorâ€™s statement and said he addressed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan about the issue. â€œI believe the government of Azerbaijan will seriously react to the Iranian ambassadorâ€™s statement and take necessary measuresâ€.

Recently speaking about the statements by Azerbaijanis scientist Rashid Aliyev released from Iranian jail, Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohammad Baghir Bahrami said that he distorted realities. He said Rashid Aliyev was sentenced for espionage in Iran, but then pardoned. â€œOur court didnâ€™t finish Rashid Aliyevâ€™s case. Iran released him because of good will. I hope this man will get out of the influence of the enemies of both countries soon. Otherwise we will take necessary measures together with the Azerbaijani law-enforcement organizationsâ€.
