Investigator Vagif Najafov: “High speed caused the fatal accident of journalist Shahin Aghabayli”

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov - APA. High speed caused the fatal accident of journalist Shahin Aghabayli, chief department of Main State Traffic Police Office Vagif Najafov told APA. To him, the incident took place in west direction of Baku-Gazakh motor road. Nissan-Tida (90 FJ 524) owned by journalist Shahin Aghabayli and Agil Alasgarli got out of control and turned over. The investigator said that the cause of the accident was high speed. That is, 20 meters wheel track has been revealed during examination of site. Moreover, the car ran 50m away from the road and turned over several times. Najafov did not shut out fact of sleep deprivation as well.

He noted that criminal case had been launched on the fact under article 263.2 of the Criminal Code.

Note that, the mentioned incident was recorded today, in 51st km of Baku-Gazakh highway. Nissan-Tida owned by journalist Shahin Aghabayli and Agil Alasgarli turned over. As a result of the accident Aghabayli died at the site, Alasgarli was injured. He was taken to Clinical Medical Center. The hospital confirmed the fact of death to APA. Investigation is underway on the fact.

Remind that, body of Aghabayli has been taken from Clinical Medical Center to the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Union of Health Ministry.
