Trial of Azerbaijani World Kickboxing Champion took part in fights against Russian federal forces and NATO troops kicks off

Judicial inquiry of the court has been appointed on October 29.

According to accusation, charged person â€“ Gakh region resident, Abidov Arif Nazim, born in 1979, is accused under articles 12 (Implementation of the criminal law concerning the persons who have committed a crime out of border of the Azerbaijan Republic) and 279.3 (The act which is provided by article 279.2 of the present Code, entailed to destruction of people or other heavy consequences - is punished by imprisonment for the term from eight up to fifteen years or life imprisonment with confiscation of property or without it) of the Criminal Code.

Abidov was part of the illegal armed group, founded in early 2006 by Azer Misirkhanov nicknamed â€œAbdullahâ€, Samir Mehdiyev nicknamed â€œSuleymanâ€ and Mollachiyev Ilgar nicknamed "Abdulmajid, as well as Telman Abdullayev, nicknamed â€œGamzatâ€ headed by A. Misirkhanov. Together with other members of the group, which differed by radical Wahhabite religious beliefs, Abidov participated in the attack, which killed the soldiers of the federal troops of the Russian Federation.

Together with other Azerbaijani citizens (more than 30) wanted via Interpol, Abidov took part in the activity of illegal armed group in Islamic republic of Pakistan.
