Names of two persons suspected of knifing Azerbaijani peopleâ€™s artist Faig Aghayev made public

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. Two persons, who are suspected of knifing Azerbaijani peopleâ€™s artist Faig Aghayev, have been declared wanted, Nasimi district police office told APA. They are Seymur Mammadov and Natavan Sharifova.

Earlier Baku resident Rufat Baba Malikov, 32, had been detained over the fact. Malikov was identified basing on the testimonies of the two persons involved in the investigation by the police. Malikov admitted that he had committed the crime, because of dispute. Though the police do not publicize the names of the persons involved in investigation, they will be reportedly released after the investigation. It is underlined that they are not guilty.

The incident was recorded in Nasimi district in the place called â€œKubinkaâ€. While driving his Audi peopleâ€™s artist Faig Aghayev quarreled with the driver and passengers of VAZ-2107. As a result of the quarrel, Faig Aghayev and two men were knifed. The perpetrators escaped. They were three.

Nasimi district police office has launched criminal case on the fact on articles 126.2.1 (deliberate infliction of serious bodily harm to two or more persons by a group of persons, organized criminal gang) and 126.2.4 (with the intention of hooliganism) of the Criminal Code.

Clinic Medical Center told APA that Faig Aghayev, his bodyguards Ramin Bayramov and Azer Musayev had been operated. Faig Aghayev received six knife wounds, four in back, one in hip, one in belly.
