9 drug smugglers detained, 274 kg confiscated in the past month

Four criminal investigations were launched against them. 60 kg hashish was confiscated from the citizen of Russian Federation Safarov Bayram Shamistan (Azerbaijani national) in St Petersburg, Russia. Ibrahimov Rustam Ismayil and Dontsov Maxim Sergeevich were detained in Ivanovo, Russia and 48 kg 295 g of hashish was found near them.

The Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan conducted several anti-drug operations in the past month. Citizens of Azerbaijan Mammadov Fuzuli Iman and Mammadov Zaur Gadir were detained and 33 kg 918.7 g of hashish was found in the Zaur Mammadovâ€™s house in Astara region of Azerbaijan.

131 kg 888.3 g of hashish was found in the houses of the citizens of Azerbaijan Aliyev Rashad Ali, Mammadov Salman Hamid, Bagirov Geray Mammadali and Bagirov Anar Geray, who were detained as a group of drug smugglers from Iran to Russia via Azerbaijan.
