Damages of blast took place in Azerbaijan’s Lankaran region are eliminated - PHOTOSESSION
Head of Lankaran region Firefighting Unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Saleh Aghayev noted that the fire covered 2000 cubic meters area. Some vehicle mechanisms, technical equipments, subsidiary buildings became useless. Though the fire was prevented by firefighting brigades, nearby houses, business objects suffered serious damages. 50-cubic meters cistern and 15-ton “AI 93†fuel have been protected from fire.
Roofs, doors and windows of private houses owned by Digah village residents – Siyavush Talishova, 44, Firudin Naghdieyva, 48, Naib Ahmadova, 46 and Rovshan Aghayev, 27, as well as “Khazar†tea-house owned by Idris Huseynova, 39 became useless during the blast. Moreover, antenna of Bakcell Company became redundant, high-tension cables passing through the area were broken.
Currently, the territory is under control of officials of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local law-enforcement bodies. The causes of the incident are investigated.
Note that, today at about 05.30 in the morning, the blast hit “Diqaz†filling station located on Alat-Astara road in Digah village. In one of tanks occurred fire while fueling from “KamAZ†truck and it blasted. Expansion of fire caused the blast of two other tanks. Lankaran city resident, Teymur Alimusa Aliverdiyev, born in 1968, residents of Lankaran’s Jil village – Firdovsi Balakhan Akbarov, born in 1964 and Izzat Gudrat Rufullayev, born in 1966 were injured during the blast. They are in grave condition.
